<p><img class="alignright" style="margin-left: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;" title="Oktoberfest in Dublin" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3140/2951156219_305a51d9cd_m.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="180" />It&#8217;s a little smaller and shorter than the <a href="http://www.oktoberfest.de/">original</a>, but trust me: The combination of the ability of the Irish to hold one&#8217;s drink and a strong Bavarian wheat beer plus several kinds of traditional folklore shows are worth a view.</p>
<p>Talking to one of the German ladies serving drinks, I could find out that a clever German entrepreneur has shipped huge loads of German drinks and food over to Dublin, including tents and lighting equipment, so you could actually get the impression to be on the real &#8220;Wiesn&#8221;. Also the waitresses were for specially recruited for this event – but apparently are all from Hamburg. Bummer.</p>
<p>Anyway. So what happens, if you combine the drinking-eager crowd named above with an incredibly weird half-Austrian, half-German folklore strip show?</p>
